In the article the author considers the issues of development of transport potential of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which contributes to strengthening the political and economic independence of the country, ensures its active integration into the world community. It analyzes the institutional and legal foundations for the creation of a unified national transport system that reliably connects all regions of the republic by increasing road transport potential, which ultimately allows Uzbekistan to reduce the road transport component in the sectors of the economy. The paper also substantiates the development of a model for the use of transport capacity, similar to the one recommended by experts in this field for the Russian economy.

В статье автором рассматриваются вопросы развития транспортного потенциала Республики Узбекистан, который способствует укреплению политической и экономической независимости страны, обеспечивает ее активную интеграцию в мировое сообщество. Анализируются институционально-правовые основы создания единой национальной транспортной системы, надежно соединяющей все регионы республики, путем повышения дорожно-транспортного потенциала, что в конечном итоге позволяет Узбекистану снизить дорожно-транспортную составляющую в отраслях экономики. В работе также обосновывается разработка модели использования возможностей транспорта, аналогичной той, которая была рекомендована специалистами в этой области для российской экономики.
